Live the Beach Life in Sunny Isles Beach

July 6, 2017

Sunny Isles Beach is known as “the American Riviera” for a very good reason. It boasts two miles of pristine sand beaches along the Atlantic Ocean.

Best of all those beaches are within easy walking distance of our apartment condo rentals in Sunny Isles, Florida. Residents of the city can be at the beach a few minutes after walking out their front door.

Even though most of Sunny Isles’ beaches are next to lavish resorts; such as the Acqulina and the Trump International, there is public access to all of them. There are causeways connecting all of the beaches with Collins Avenue.

Beach Resorts and Amenities in Sunny Isles

One of the best things about Sunny Isles’ Beaches is that the restaurants and amenities at some of the beach resorts are open to the public. That means you can stroll up to the patio and enjoy an ice cream cone, a drink, a gelato or even a slice of pizza anytime you wish.

If you need beach supplies such as sunscreen there is a Walgreens drugstore at 174th Street. For more variety in shopping the free SIBShuttle bus provides regular service to a number of retail destinations on the mainland including Publix. SIBShuttle also serves most of the beaches.

Be careful where you park; because most street parking in Sunny Isles is reserved for residents. Public parking is available at the Lehman Causeway and Pier Park Lots. Additional parking can be found at Heritage Park at 193rd Street and Collins Avenue.
